Old Growth: Alzheimers by Colleen WiseArtist Statement: I wonder about the life of our ancient trees in the Pacific Northwest. People with Alzheimers may lose track of time. Time becomes a lake where all things are happening at the same time. Trees keep track of time; their rings mark the good years, droughts, fires. This quilt asks: what would that be like if a tree developed Alzheimers? Materials & Techniques: Hand marbled cotton fabrics only; bamboo batting Dimensions: 42" x 42" Photographer: |
