Old Growth: Stumped by Colleen WiseArtist Statement: I am drawn to trees, especially very old trees. When we first moved to Washington in 1989, logging trucks still rumbled through Puyallup loaded with huge logs. All that remains of many old growth forests now are stumps. I feel compelled to document this travesty. I feel compelled to document my feelings about this travesty in my work. Materials & Techniques: All fabrics hand-marbled by the artist; bamboo batting Dimensions: 45 x 45 Photographer: |
