Artist Statement: Sometimes when you crack something open, there's a gift inside: an egg, a geode, the earth, a person. This piece represents that gift.

Materials & Techniques: Materials - Hand-dyed and printed cotton fabric; acrylic paint, polyester threads; wool batting. Techniques -  Hand-dyed and discharged fabric; hand-marbled fabric; machine appliqué; machine stitching.
