Artist Statement: “One Day, One Step, One Life” is the sixth quilt in my journey of “Hidden Words” series. These words grew out of my life journey in moving forward after a significant personal loss. Saying these words as I started each day guided me forward to recovery and a brighter future. 

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cotton ombre fabrics. Raw edge applique and machine quilted on a traditional Bernina machine. I used a vectorizing app called "Imaengine" on my iPad to modify a photo of a sign I had made with hand cut block letters.
