Artist Statement: This work was inspired by cracked mirrors. So many things can be broken in our lives—relationships, material wealth, jobs ending. Although shattered dreams are often painful, they can be a portal to something more wondrous than was ever expected. All of our broken bits add up to something incredibly beautiful.

Materials & Techniques: All of the appliqued fabrics are hand-dyed, or printed with dye. The applique is raw-edge. Machine quilted with wool batting.  Hand-dyed/printed fabric wool batting polyester thread
