Artist Statement: Fresh snow in an alpine landscape, soft natural glitter under low lying sun is a wide-open invitation for meditation. The promise of spring is in the air. Quiet observation of nature is a peaceful joy, especially after months of fear and restrictions due to the pandemic.

Materials & Techniques: Linen-cotton-lame blend (Robert Kaufmann “Essex” Linen Blend Metallic), batik and hand dyed cottons. Pieced and quilted by machine.
