Artist Statement: The waterways in the Pacific Northwest have always been close to my heart. Life and movement above and below the surface is really a miracle to experience when we can take the time to do so.

Materials & Techniques: I design my tile quilts onto a piece of paper the size I want the finished quilt to be, drawing all the tile shapes in the directions I want them to go. I like to use Radiance (silk/cotton blend) for my background fabric because I like the sheen it creates under the tiles. Commercial and hand dyed cotton fabrics were fused onto the Radiance, then machine quilted.
