What Lies Beneath by Janet DarcherArtist Statement: What lies beneath the surface? It is often difficult to determine what lies beneath, you have to observe, investigate, asking questions, ponder. This piece uses a variety of surface design techniques indigo dying, dendritic printing and paper lamination to create interest. Allowing the observer to reflect. Materials & Techniques: Indigo dyed cotton fabric, acrylic paint, woven paper. Cotton backing and thread, silk batting. Dendritic printing with acrylic paint on indigo dyed fabric.
