Artist Statement: I am inspired by the natural beauty in our world. In this piece I tried to capture the beauty of the sun setting over the lake, as the light shimmers and sparkles creating a beautiful dance of oranges and blues, among the dark reeds.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial batik and cotton fabric. Fusible applique, collage, thread painting and free motion quilting.
