Artist Statement: I completed this quilt a few months after traveling to Japan in 2018. Japan was safe, beautiful and quite the adventure traveling solo and in a group. I got a little lost in Tokyo as well as in the construction of this quilt. But I found my way and got back on track. The top is intuitively designed.

Materials & Techniques: Yukata cotton, sashiko thread, cotton fabric and threads. Assembling in a diagonal. This method solved a major dilemma I had on an earlier quilt. Surprisingly few Y seams if you are careful.
