Artist Statement: Wrought iron gate patterns, flowers and a pigeon all suggested a park to me. I gave it an Asian feel using a chop image, asymmetry, and the painting style of the pigeon.

Materials & Techniques: A stamped and painted pigeon was incorporated in fabrics created from monotype and screen printing. The pigeon was painted on a scrap of Irish linen embroidered tablecloth and is trimmed with small pieces of Japanese fabric. Machine pieced and quilted.
