Pentamorph by Geraldine WarnerArtist Statement: This kelp-like vessel appears to change almost infinitely in shape, depending on the viewpoint. However, it grows up out of a strict pentagram, a geometric shape commonly found in nature. Materials & Techniques: This vessel was hand pieced from hand-dyed silk fabric and free-motion quilted with silk thread. The insets were created with free-motion threadwork. The base features hand-appliquéd motifs. Dimensions: 15 x 17 x 17 Photographer: Heidi Swoboda |
