Artist Statement: This quilt keeps my memories about an unusual scene, that I saw in my home town, Moscow, Russia, on summer vacation. Walking through the Old Town, I found an open stage crowded by people who came to dance in hot Latin American rhythms from dusk to dawn. It looked beautiful!

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabrics hand-dyed by the artist, embroidery threads. Machine appliqué, machine quilting.
