Artist Statement: Fond memories of my grade school "Emerson Elementary" in Oklahoma City. First day of school required a brand new plaid dress made just for me by my talented seamstress mother.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons. Perl cotton thread. Machine pieced, straight line quilting. Hand embroidery.
