Artist Statement: The Pacific Northwest offers endless inspiration for my landscape quilts and I need not go far from home to be inspired. I was walking along Alki Beach in West Seattle when I noticed this beautiful tree that seemed to be embracing the Olympic Mountains. My work has evolved and improved since 2016 when I first began making art quilts, but nature continues to be my source of inspiration. 

Materials & Techniques: This is made with fusible applique. Additional detail and texture added during the quilting process.
