Pomegranate by Janet DarcherArtist Statement: Each jeweled seed of the pomegranate is a dodecahedron, that completely fill a surface without any gaps, as they grows and swells with juice. Cutting open a pomegranate is always a treat, not just for the sweet seeds but the amazing color. Materials & Techniques: I used rust and vegetable dyed fabric for the background and body of the fruit, commercial fabric scraps were used for shading.
