Artist Statement: This quilt belongs to a series built around the image of a table setting, seen here as broken plates, buried in the archeological record. Follow the metaphor to consider other artifacts of human existence that influence our personalities, cultural traditions, belief systems, and choices as we walk above them, largely unaware of their presence.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial prints and solid cotton fabric; hand-dyed cotton fabric by the artist; cotton batting; cotton, polyester, and blended threads. Machine pieced and machine quilted.
