Artist Statement: Pathways 4 was inspired by my photograph from the Portland, Oregon Japanese Garden.  I love the steps leading to the sunlit path with the mystery behind the shrub.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric and thread, yarns, buttons, embroidery, applique and machine quilting.
