Artist Statement:  What could be more life affirming than a beautiful little nest full of eggs? The making of this piece gave me many "glad-heart" days.

Materials & Techniques: Hand dyed and commercial cottons. Vintage kimono silk, cotton ravelings, scrim, jute, lichens. Acrylic paint, fabric day pens. Piecing, raw edge applique, painting, stamping. Free motion machine quilting.
