Artist Statement: In the constellation of Orion is a dimming, dying star: Betelgeuse. My hobby astronomer husband consistently calls it Beetle Juice. I used the app Stellarium to find the constellation and overlaying figure. Orion is one of a few constellations visible from the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, although, Orion is upside down viewed from Australia.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed cotton whole cloth with stitching, paint, POSCA pens, TSUKINEKO metallic inks, Shiva oil sticks over hand-made stencil, French Knots applied.
