Artist Statement: Word of the Brazilian indigenous vocabulary (Tupi-Guarani), which means "red".This vocabulary originates from a sweet red fruita of a native tree that grows in Brazil.The figure is inspired by rock design in the archaeological site of primitive inhabitant of the Central Region of Brazil (Goias).

Materials & Techniques: Applique, Wool yarns applied and cotton yarns machine-sewn. Machine quilted.
