Artist Statement: There are tales of strong women of many cultures ascending to the darkened sky once a year to shine their inspirational light on the world--here observed on their journey. 

Materials & Techniques: Monoprinting, dyeing, applique, quilting; procion dye, paint sticks, textile paint on cotton fabric.
