Artist Statement: I volunteer at the local Botanical Conservatory  The flowers inspired me to create a short series of floral quilts. This is dedicated to the city of Moyobamba, Peru because 3,500 species of orchids grow in its vicinity.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric and batting, fabric paint, embroidery thread. Hand-painted wholecloth quilt, hand-quilted.
