Artist Statement: A tribute to the spirit of the old lichen covered sumac tree that once stood outside my window. It nurtured the bees, squirrels, birds, and me.  We miss you.

Materials & Techniques: Hand dyed cotton and silk fabrics. Tulle, yarns, silk and decorative threads, beads and found objects. Appliqué, free motion quilting. Satin stitch. Machine and hand embroidery. Beading.
