Artist Statement: The asymmetrical vanishing checkerboard draws the eye into the image, and the multiple lines draw the viewer into many pathways. Keeping the sky-like background fabric in order, helped to create the illusion of a floating image.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons, machine pieced and quilted.
