Artist Statement: This is the second of a series. It was inspired by the perfect cove, swirling water, and beautiful shells on a long lagoon. The layers of currents, sand dollars and roundness of the beach stayed with me long after my trip there.

Dimensions: 52" wide x 41" high

Materials & Techniques: The fabric was primarily hand-dyed by the artist. The shibori technique of folding and shaping, tying and wrapping fabric was used. Machine appliqué and bias strips of my dyed fabric completed the piece.
