The Same but Different by Susan Smith![]() Artist Statement: People all over the world want the same things from life. A place to live, food on our tables, our families to love and share, we all want to be safe. Small communities spread over the landscape; everyone’s idea of home is different. Shapes, colors, and emotions, So different but still the same. Materials & Techniques: Hand dyed whole cloth, stenciling Shiva oil paint sticks, embellished with glass tiles hand stitched with decorative threads. Free-motion quilting.
