Artist Statement: This piece represents my inner sanctuary, a place in my mind that is protected from the conflicts and harshness of the outside world, a place where I can find peace and tranquility.

Materials & Techniques: To create a painterly effect, I used hand-dyed and painted silk fabrics. The quilt was machine pieced and free-motion quilted with silk threads on my domestic sewing machine.
