Artist Statement: Some epitaphales that grow in the trees eventually develop long, thick roots that extend down the trunk of the tree forming a kind of surrounding web.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabrics, wool and various threads, dyed gauze pads. raw applique and machine quilted.
