Hope Always by Carolyn BurtonArtist Statement: The darker fabrics at the bottom of the quilt represent the turmoil on our planet, whilst the multi-colored sun-like image is God, Divine Spirit or whatever the viewer wishes the positive comforting power to be. It's rays kiss the earth bringing warmth and hope. Materials & Techniques: Domestic machine piecing and quilting. Paper-piecing. Applique. Braided couching.
