Artist Statement: Sometimes beautiful things are shattered—relationships, perfect jobs that ended, financial wealth up in smoke. Although these circumstances can leave us feeling broken, they can also be the beginning of something more wonderful than what was swept into the trash.

Materials & Techniques: All of the appliqued fabrics are hand-dyed, or printed with dye. The applique is raw-edge. Machine quilted with wool batting. Materials: hand-dyed/printed fabric wool batting polyester thread
