Artist Statement: A red hibiscus dominates the greenery surrounding it.  This state flower of Hawaii symbolizes intense passion, celebration, life, courage and happiness. 

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed fabrics by Judy Robertson and commercial fabrics.  Fused applique, machine quilted by artist.
