Artist Statement: This piece was made just before I started working on my first major series of quilts. Its bits of fantasy and joy show that I was ready and willing to travel down a new path in life.

Materials & Techniques: Batiks, hand-dyed fabric, machine appliqué, micro quiting, trupunto, beading.
