Artist Statement: Camels and deserts are hidden from our thoughts unless we are tourists or climate scientists. Let's make the changes that will stop desert expansion and keep remaining deserts healthy.

Materials & Techniques: Materials: Fabrics: most of them recycled, silk, cotton, and linen. Hand painted, hand-dyed by the artist. Techniques: Linen marked with rust. Silk painted using wax batik. Hand embroidery and some hand quilting. Machine pieced and quilted.
