Artist Statement: In the garden the herons are relaxing at dusk searching the pond for fish and insects, the cattails, water reeds and branches gently swaying in the breeze, The tree leaves hanging over the pond and casting shadows and reflections

Materials & Techniques: Fused raw edge machine appliqué, couching, decorative stitching, embellishments, piped edging, Trapunto, free-motion machine quilting on a regular sewing machine. Misty fuse, hand-dyed, cotton & batiks fabrics, paisley Minkey for the cattails, ribbons, and yarns for water grasses, cotton batting.
