Artist Statement: Grandmother’s flower garden quilts are identifiable for the hexagon blocks that include a continuous pathway around and through the quilt. These are typically summer quilts having 2 fabric layers and sometimes the paper template that the quilter never removes. I spent over 2050 hours making this quilt over several years.
