Artist Statement: The Pacific Northwest in winter is a package of gray and dark green wrapped in foggy white ribbons. It is lovely short term and a flash of sun can bring occasional relief. But oh, November is long and the eye grows weary. I know! Red will make it better!

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand dyed cottons. Cotton and decorative threads. Acrylic paint. Raw-edge applique, fusing, painting, free-motion machine quilting. Hand embroidery.
