Artist Statement: Having once viewed a Mayan pyramid, it is not soon forgotten. The ruined city at its feet seems haunted and one can almost hear strange music and voices of the long departed peoples, expecting to catch a glimpse of them if only we could turn our heads quickly enough.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand dyed cottons, beads, decorative threads. Raw edge appliqué, free motion quilting.
