Artist Statement: Luna explores the interplay between the shibori and the quilting lines: discharge reveals the quilted surface of the moon while the shibori lines dominate the background. Varying the amount of discharge produces a sense of transparency.

Materials & Techniques: Arashi shibori: quilted, over-dyed, then discharged. The batting (which provides the background for the squares) and backing were colored during the over-dyeing process.
