Artist Statement: These four small quilts are part of a series that was inspired by the fabrics of Yoshiko Jinzenji. In this set of four small quilts, I selected four small sections of a previous quilt design, expanded and elaborated on the designs to make each a balanced composition. The quilts are mounted on red silk mats and framed in black wooden frames to unify the four pieces.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand dyed fabrics. Machine piecing, applique, and quilting. The quilts are mounted on mats and framed in wooden frames.
