Artist Statement: I am filled with awe as I observe the birds returning in the spring. The neighborhood is busy with mating songs, building of nests, and laying of eggs. New day, new life, renewed hope and I am thankful.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed and commercial cotton fabrics, cotton ravelings, and ostrich egg shell beads. Piecing, free-motion machine quilting, hand-stitching.
