Artist Statement: The first in a series called "deconstruction." After completing the quilt construction, I continue to add layers of surface design, each bringing a depth of richness and texture to the original changing the work in unexpected and unusual ways.

Materials & Techniques: Discharged, dyed and over-dyed, painted, and screen-printed cotton fabrics. Machine quilted.
