Artist Statement: After a trip to China, I was inspired to portray Chinese lanterns in a quilt.  The scene was developed from a photo I had taken.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cotton and silk fabrics, cotton thread. Raw edge appliqué, couched thread, machine quilted.
