Artist Statement: This quilt captures the thrill of the end of a Thoroughbred race, where one horse slips over the finish line just a nose before the next, winning the race. It is one of a series of equestrian-themed quilts.

Materials & Techniques: Artist hand-dyed silks, confetti pieced with tulle covering. Machine thread-painted with cotton, rayon, and silk threads.
